BOYD, ALBERTA W. “BERT”, 100, went to be with her Lord on Aug. 23, 2017. Bert, was born in Phila., PA on Oct. 19, 1916 to Charles & Helen Myers. Bert married William J. “Bill” Boyd in 1941. They later moved to NCM in 1982 and subsequently, CMCH where Bill passed away in 2000. In 2008, Bert moved to Naples, FL. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Cape May Woman’s Club for many years. Preceded in death by her husband William surviving family include her son, Scott W. (Pamela) Boyd; daughter, Deborah F. Boyd; grandchildren: Brook W. (Jennifer) Boyd, Colby E. Boyd and Jodi M. (Jason) Winslow.
Burial service will be Oct. 14th at 11am at the Cape May County Veterans’ Cemetery; 129 Crest Haven Road, CMCH NJ, 08210. Memorial acknowledgements of Alberta’s life may be donated in her name to: Shriners Hospital for Children of Philadelphia Attn: Geraldine Geary; 3551 N. Broad St, Phila., PA 19140.
