BLEWS, BARBARA LYNN, age 60, of North Cape May went home to be with Jesus Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Cooper Medical Center of Camden, NJ. Barbara was born December 2, 1956 in Cape May Court House and has been a life-long Cape May area resident. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Margaret (Miles) DeMusz. Barbara worked at several local businesses including K-Mart, Michaels, Bed Bath & Beyond, and was an aid at Cape Christian Academy. She and her husband David met through a local Christian Radio station where David worked. They attended Central Bible Church, the Lighthouse Church, Angle Sea Baptist Church, and had fellowship with many other local churches. Barbara loved the Cape May area and especially liked walking on the promenade and at the Cape May County Zoo. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Michael, William & Donald, and two sisters: Margaret Kelly & Shirley Marto. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, David Blews and one daughter Kristen (Anthony) Durnell. Also surviving are her three grandchildren: Jonah, Cadence, & Evette; five brothers: John (Amy), James (Patricia), Milton (Sandy), Carl (Cathy), & Brian (Nancy); four sisters: Sharon (Bruce) Hutcheson, Lorie DeMusz, Patricia Stevenson (who was her twin) & Janet Whipple. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Tabernacle United Methodist Cemetery, 702 Seashore Rd, Erma, NJ 08204.
