BENDIS, LORRAINE M., age 94, of Wildwood Crest, NJ formally of Pittsburgh, PA died peacefully on November 10, 2016. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 74 years, Albert Bendis, just 3 months prior. She is survived by her children, Richard (Sherry) and Kathleen (Tom) Meehan, grandchildren, Kelly Miller, Megan Bilello, Rich Bendis, Jenny Daly and Julie Taylor. Great grandchildren, Dominic, Adrienne, Caitlin, Megan, Joey, Griffin, Hunter, Riley, Drew, Will, Jack and Charlie. Also survived by her loving siblings, Thomas Mathews, Betty Frassinell, Mid Sunderland and predeceased sister, Dorothy Gentile. She will have a special place in the hearts of all her nieces and nephews and dear friends in Wildwood. Along with her brother and sisters, she and her husband owned and operated three motels in The Crest for 10 years.Lorraine’s family was of the utmost importance to her, enjoying their many visits to the shore and especially cooking and baking for them. We were blessed by her long and loving presence in our lives and she was fortunate to have seen many family members during her final months. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.A private interment will be held on Saturday, November 12 and a celebration of her wonderful life will be held at a later date.
