BAXTER, WILLIAM JOSEPH, 89, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 at his home. Born in Philadelphia to the late John Joseph and Elizabeth (Fitzpatrick) Baxter, he moved here in 1985 from Havertown, PA. He was an optician in Olney, PA. He was a member and Eucharistic Minister of Our Lady of the Angels Church. He also volunteered at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital/Cape Regional Medical Center for 20 years. Mr. Baxter is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy; his son, Patrick; his sister, Helene Shovelyn; his two granddaughters, Amy Baxter Kendrick and Meghan Carbone; and four great grandchildren, Miranda, Michael, Christopher, and John Ryan. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan. Funeral Mass will be said on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Cold Spring.
