BARALDI, JULIE, 93, of Avalon, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2016 with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude McGovern. She was predeceased by her husband Dick Baraldi, her son Richard Baraldi, her daughter Donna Baraldi, her brother James McGovern, her sister in law Virginia McGovern, her daughter in law Grace Baraldi and her granddaughter Melissa Kriss. She is survived by her daughter Marita DeFelice (John), daughter Megan Donohue (Edward), and 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. Julie moved to Avalon in 1972 after a career at the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin. She waitressed at the Rock’n Chair Restaurant in Avalon for many years and completed her working career as the secretary to the volunteers at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Julie was an avid fan of her grandchildren’s sporting events, especially football, peewee through college. Her hobbies were many but she most enjoyed shopping, from yard sales to antiquing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ, where a visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with the Mass at 10:00 am.
