Karen Baker, 74, of North Wildwood, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Karen was the daughter of former North Wildwood police chief Leroy Baker and Helen Baker. She is survived by her mother, Helen Baker, her son, Adam Parker, and extended family Ken Stankiewicz. She graduated from Wildwood High School in 1965 and sang across the United States and Canada sharing her voice with the world. She worked as a dental x-ray technician in Vineland, NJ, then moved on to work in Tropicana Casino for 29 years, beginning in security and later a casino dealer and supervisor. Karen was a loving and caring woman who was a great mother that took care of her family and friends, and loved to be the entertainer, whether it be in her home, on stage, or at work, never without a song, joke, or story. She will be missed by all who knew her.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 at St. Ann’s Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 am.
