ADORANTO, LEWIS A. SR., 81, of Belleplain, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Vineland to the late Anthony and Victoria (Kubiak) Adoranto, he was a lifetime resident of this area. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion of Woodbine and Commander of VFW Post 6257 Belleplain. Lew enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his antique cars. He was a life member of the Mauricetown Gun Club, and honorary member of the South Millville Gunning Club and Crooked Horn Gunning Club. He was also a member of the NRA, the North American Hunting Club, and the Operating Engineers Union Local 825. Lew is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judy (Clark) Adoranto; his three children, Lewis Adoranto, Jr. of Belleplain, Tina Marie Glassford (David) of Belleplain, and Rosemarie Ludlam (William) of Clermont; his three stepchildren, Tracy Turchi (Steven) of Woodbine, Marice Kozub (David) of Stowe, PA, and Lewis Hickman (companion Antonia) of Belleplain; his sister, Dolores Pettit of Belleplain; his brother, Anthony Adoranto of Belleplain; 12 grandchildren; 8 stepgrandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, John Glassford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Woodbine.
