COURT HOUSE – When Santa comes to town during Middle Township’s Christmas Parade Dec. 1, the route will change from that of the past.
Starting at 6 p.m. from Pacific Avenue, then north on Route 9, the parade will make a left turn, west on Mechanic Street. Judging occurs at the County Library. A tree-lighting ceremony will then occur at Township Hall.
After that takes place, Santa and Mrs. Claus will head to the Court House Firehouse where hot chocolate, cookies and Christmas songs will be sung and stories told.
Parade participants must register by Nov. 27 with Middle Township Recreation Department, middletownship.recdesk.com or at 465-8743.
They should be on Pacific Avenue by 5 p.m. Dec. 1 in preparation for the parade.
