New Jersey Lottery Ticket Wins $50,000 as the Powerball Jackpot Rolls to $361,000,000

By Press Release

TRENTON – There was one New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched the four white balls and the Powerball drawn for the July 16 drawing winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. If that ticket had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option it would have been worth $100,000. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $361,000,000 for the next drawing to be held July 20 at 10:59 p.m.
The winning ticket from Saturday night’s drawing was sold at the following location: Cape May County: Green’s Liquors Pacific, 5301 Pacific Ave., Wildwood.
The winning numbers for the July 16 drawing were: 11, 17, 40, 50 and 62.
The Red Power Ball number was 26. The Multiplier number was 02.
In addition to the third prizewinning ticket sold, there were 55,777 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $272,540 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Hedinger. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
