COURT HOUSE – Twelve winners of the 20th Annual My County Poster Contest were selected from among entries submitted by 291 fourth grade students from 7 elementary schools who participated in the contest sponsored by Cape May County’s Constitutional Officers – Surrogate W. Robert Hentges, County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti and Sheriff Gary G. Schaffer.

The twelve winners will be honored at a special awards ceremony on Wed., April 4 at 3:30 p.m. in the Cape May County Court House, Jury Assembly Room.
All winners will receive a book bag filled with items and a personalized mug. The 1st place winner will receive a $100.00 U.S. Savings Bond plus a home room pizza party lunch, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive a $50.00 U.S. Savings Bond.
The annual event is hosted by the Constitutional Officers during April National County Government Month to bring awareness of the function of county government to fourth graders, who regularly study the topic as part of their curriculum. The winning posters are on display during the month of April in the West Lobby of the Cape May County Court House. The winning posters will be featured on a 2012-2013 color poster calendar distributed to the winners and 2012-2013 fourth grade class.
