COURT HOUSE – Looking for something to do this spring break? Why not bring your family to the Cape May County Historical & Genealogical Society’s museum?
The museum will “spring” open to families for a unique kids’ tour of more than five centuries of history.
Located at 504 Route 9 North in Cape May Court House, the museum offers something for everyone.
Walk through rooms that once echoed with the laughter of colonial children at play. See toys that entertained Victorian children. Marvel in the glow of the lighthouse lens and listen to the tale of the keeper’s nightly trip up the steps to maintain the burners. Visit the carriage house to see a real stagecoach. Listen closely as you walk through the museum for the mysterious footsteps some visitors think they have heard.
Family tours will step off from the museum’s lobby promptly at noon and 2 p.m. April 20 and April 21. Admission is free; however adults must be accompanied by a child. Space is limited, reservations are suggested.
To reserve your space on this fun and informative tour, please call the museum at 609-465-3535.
