Mouthwatering Chicken BBQ Returns to 4-H Fair

By

One of the culinary highlights of the Cape May County 4-H Fair is the annual chicken BBQ. The mouthwatering smell of BBQ chicken will be in the air from Thursday, July 19 through Saturday, July 21, so come to the 4-H Fair hungry. The popular tradition, sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Agriculture for decades, features delicious BBQ chicken, farm fresh vegetables, chips, cranberry sauce, roll and butter, beverage and dessert. Additionally, fresh fried flounder will be served on Friday.
The dinner is served by volunteers and local dignitaries. Tickets are available on the fairgrounds from 4 p.m. on at the Chicken BBQ ticket booth. The cost is $14 for adults and $8 for children (12 and under). Take-out is also available.
If You Go: Tickets for the chicken BBQ will be sold at the Cape May County 4-H Fair July 19-21 starting at 4 p.m., and dinner will be served starting at 5 p.m.
The annual 4-H Fair runs July 19-21 at the 4-H Fairgrounds, 355 Court House – South Dennis Rd. in Cape May Court House. Public hours for the fair are noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free and there is a host of fun events.
