Miss North Wildwood 2011 Crowned

NORTH WILDWOOD – On Thursday, July 14, Grace Elizabeth Lederer, 16, was crowned Miss North Wildwood 2011 at a ceremony at Lou Booth Amphitheater, Second and Ocean avenues.
Lederer, the daughter of Michael and Cathryn Lederer, who is a resident of North Wildwood and a junior at Wildwood Catholic High School, will be representing the City during all the special events throughout the year.
She is a beautiful and talented young woman who has been studying art for six years and music for four. Academically, she has the highest GPA in Wildwood Catholic’s Class of 2013. She’s won First Honors, and she’s been inducted into the National Honor Society.
In addition, Lederer is an accomplished athlete, having won six varsity letters for Cross Country, Swimming, and Track and Field. She was MVP of Cross Country and Track in 2010-2011. She’s also won Cape Atlantic League First Team All-Star 2010-2011 in both Cross Country and Swimming.
Also she was a member of the Juvenile Court Commission—Upper Township Division, a Student Superior Court Representative, and Sitting Board Member Evaluation Juvenile Court Cases.
First Runner-up in the competition, Alexandra Diane DiGiacomo, 20, the daughter of Eric and Wendy DiGiacomo of Lititz, Pa., spends her summers in Wildwood Crest.
She’s a rising junior at University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Dental Hygiene. At Warwick High School, Pa., she had been elected president of the Student American Dental Hygiene Association for the Class of 2011.
She is also musically inclined, having taken piano lessons for six years, and she’s a successful athlete, having earned Honorable Mention for Outfield Softball.
Second Runner-up Joei Domenique Viviani, 18, is the daughter of Joseph and Judi Viviani of Williamstown, NJ. They also spend their summers in Wildwood Crest.Viviani will be a freshman at Rowan University this fall, majoring in Education with a minor in Mathematics.
Also a member of the National Honor Society, Viviani was on the Honor Roll and the Principal’s List. She earned varsity letters in Cross Country and Swimming.
Hannah DiBruno, Miss North Wildwood 2010 crowned Lederer Thursday evening, just before the beginning of the Concert under the Stars featuring Main Stage Harmony.
North Wildwood Mayor Bill Henfey said, “All the young women who participated in this competition are not only attractive, but they also excelled in their interviews. And our new Miss North Wildwood will represent us well in our festivals and parades.”
