Middle Township Police Announce Meet and Greet Program

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – The Middle Township Police Department is proud to announce a new Community Policing Program called, The MGO Program (Meet and Greet with an Officer). The MGO program will start next month in partnership with the Middle Township AARP Chapter 1182. The Middle Township AARP Chapter 1182 meets the second Wednesday every month and a different officer each month will attend a portion of the meeting to introduce him or herself to the members and take questions. Chief Leusner stated, “This is another program to add to our existing community policing efforts and I am excited about it. We need to increase the interaction between police officers and members of our community when there is not a problem or enforcement action. This and other programs are important to building positive relationships with the residents so we can work together to keep Middle Township a safe community.” President of the Middle Township AARP Chapter 1182, Burgess “Butch” Hamer, stated, “We are looking forward to participating in this program because it is not only about our Chapter but about Middle Township and it’s residents. We think this is a great idea and our members are looking forward to getting to know better the Officers on the street working everyday to protect us. ”
