Meals on Wheels Comes to Woodbine Community Center

WOODBINE – The Woodbine Community Center, 812 Longfellow Street, Woodbine, has been approved as a Cape May County Meals on Wheels site.
Applications to participate will be available at the Woodbine Borough Hall, 501 Washington Avenue, weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. For all questions concerning the program, please call the Clerk’s Office at 861-2153.
To register an individual must be at least 60 years of age, or disabled. Caretakers for such individuals are also eligible to apply. Applicants must be residents of Cape May County (summer residents are accepted). Proof of age and residency must be provided when registering.
Meals will be delivered to the Community Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, starting July 7, 2014.
“This program is being done through a Shared Services Agreement between the County of Cape May, through its Department of Aging and Disability Services, and the Borough of Woodbine for the provision of mobile meals to the Woodbine Community Center,” provided Mayor Pikolycky. “We are pleased to be able to partner with the Freeholders who understand this need in our Community and for this we thank them.”
