By Press Release

VILLAS — Jacyn Pisieczko, a 14-year-old student at Richard M.Teitelman Middle School, addressed Lower Township Council to give them insight on living with autism.
“If you see a child or adult having difficulties, please try to display kindness and compassion,” said Pisieczko.
Pisieczko, accompanied by his mother, Lisa Bryant, his twin brother, Eric, and his older sister, Erin, was present to acknowledge Lower Township’s proclamation declaring April as Autism Awareness Month. Pisieczko was diagnosed with the disorder when he was three. Pisieczko now is an eighth grader who loves to draw, play video games, enjoys dancing and makes As and Bs in school.
Pisieczko said that a number of his peers with autism are facing adulthood with a lack of services available to them and that community events like Blowing Bubbles for Autism helps raise community awareness.
