Lower Township Police Announce Detours for Coombs Douglas Run

VILLAS – The Lower Township Police would like to caution residents in the Villas, Townbank, and North Cape May area to be aware of detours in and about the Townbank and North Cape May area for the Coombs Douglas run which will be held Aug. 6, 2016 at 08:30 a.m.
Townbank Road, Clubhouse Road, Miramar Ave, Beach Drive and the canal park will all be closed or detoured.
The event will consist of a two-mile and five mile run. The starting point of the race will be in front of the Townbank Fire Hall. The majority of the run will occur on Clubhouse Drive, Shore Drive and Beach Drive in North Cape May.
Due to the amount of runners and road closures, motorists are requested to avoid this area during the hours of 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Motorists can expect delays and detours in the area of the aforementioned roads, as a great deal of the course will be closed to traffic. 
Douglass Park will be closed from 10 p.m. Aug. 5, 2016 until the end of the run Aug. 6.
