Lower Township Parade Celebrates Christmas

By Jack Fichter

NORTH CAPE MAY – Lower Township Rotary Club held its 28th annual Christmas Parade Saturday Dec. 12.
Crowds lined Bayshore Road from Breakwater Plaza to Rosehill Parkway.
The parade featured the Lower Cape May Regional High School Band and the Richard M. Teitelman Middle School Band.
Volunteer fire companies were well represented from as far away as Woodbine and Dennis Township along with Rio Grande, Court House, Villas, Erma, Town Bank and Cape May.
Floats included Sturdy Savings Bank, Budd Excavating, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Seashore Church of the Nazarene and Villas Volunteer Fire Company.
The temperature was 35 degrees but that did not deter a large crowd with many children.
Lower Township policed were well represented in the parade with DARE cars and working traffic control.
