Lower Township Block Party, Green Fair Draws a Crowd

VILLAS- Lower Township’s first Block Party and Green Fair drew a large crowd Saturday June 5 with a combination of food, live music, merchandise vendors and ecologically-friendly items.
The event took place under a blazing sun on a quarter mile section of Bayshore Road. The ultimate goal of the event was to raise money to beautify Bayshore Road to purchase welcome flags for the busy street.
Mayor Michael Beck said the event was giving residents a sense of community and providing a fun, early summer event,
County and township agencies were represented as well as public safety, civic and church groups. There were free balloons for children and a pony rides available.
