WHITESBORO — Living Well in Whitesboro is a series of free classes offered once a month for one hour which encourages and teaches residents of Cape May County how to live a healthy lifestyle through good eating habits and exercise.
Classes are held on the 2nd Wed. of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Each class will be taught by qualified instructors who are excited to teach Cape May County residents how to live healthy.
This month’s class is “What is healthy eating? How do I begin?” with Cristine Dell-Priscoli, SNAP-Ed Program Associate, Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County. The class will be held Sept. 10, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Whitesboro Grammar School, 100 East Main Street, Whitesboro. Light refreshments will be served.
Sept. 10 – What is healthy eating? How do I begin?
Oct. 8 – Eating healthy on a budget. “YES it is possible”
Nov. 12 – Nutritional myth busters
Dec. 10 – How to read nutritional labels
Jan. 14 – Exploring ALL food options in Middle Township
Feb. 11 – At home fitness for the whole family
March 11 – Anti-inflammatory nutrition/brain food
April 8 – Nutrition for students/athletes -Top 10 foods to avoid
May 13 – Creating a healthy garden of your own
June 10 – Kicking it up with homemade salsa
July 8 – Breakfast on the run -10 meals in 10 minutes
August 12 – Clean eating and cooking demonstration
