Light the Path Pink at Annual Whitesboro Walks for a Cure

By Sponsored

Breast cancer awareness and screening is important for ALL WOMEN. However, the alarming fact is, the breast cancer death rate for women ages 45-64 is higher for black women than white women according to the CDC National Vital Statistics System. The median age of diagnosis in African American women is 54 years, compared with a median age of 58 years in white women. Because most studies indicate that physical activity lowers the risk of developing breast cancer, Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro hosts an Annual Whitesboro Walks for a Cure Event each year. This year, for the 6th year, we invite everyone to join us in “Lighting the (Bike) Path Pink” from Main Street to Indian Trail on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Registration begins at 3 p.m. followed by a warm-up. The walk begins at 4 p.m. Enjoy goodie bags and refreshments while they last. Cost is a $15 donation.
