COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Library invites teens entering grades 6-12 to participate in Count Down to Cape Con, a series of costume-building workshops in preparation for the library’s comic con, Halloween, or any other costume-related opportunity. The programs will take place from 2:00–4:00 p.m. on Fridays, Aug. 4, 11, 18, and 25 at the Main Branch of the library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
No costume? No problem! Each workshop session will focus on building a different costume element out of inexpensive materials. A collaborative effort with the library’s Technology Learning Center, the workshops will cover shields, capes, helmets, and masks. All materials will be provided, however participants are encouraged to bring their own material for the session on capes (an old bed sheet will work fine). Have an idea? Bring it and build it! Open to teens entering grades 6-12.
Registration is not required for these programs. For additional information, please contact the Teen Services Department at (609) 463-6357, via email teen@cmclibrary.org, or visit online at teen.cmclibrary.org.
