Kiwanis Club of Cape May to Hold Sept. 11 Commemoration Ceremony

By Press Release

CAPE MAY — The Kiwanis Club of Cape May in conjunction with the City of Cape May will honor and remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon and aboard Flight 93.
The ceremony will be held Sept. 11, 2016 at 6:15 p.m., Cape May City at the Cove Beach, Beach Avenue (East End).
The annual commemoration ceremony held at Beach Avenue at the Cove is a solemn and moving ceremony with speakers from local organizations along with community leaders who remind us of the sacrifice of Police, Fire and Emergency Medical technicians who valiantly struggled that day to save lives.
There is a moment of silence as the flag is lowered at the Cove for the summer season. Bring the family, beach chairs, and take part in this memorable event.
The Kiwanis Club of Cape May has assumed the responsibility for organizing this annual memorial ceremony. A local community event not to miss!
