Kitchen Phanatics 4-H Cooking Club

Club leader Gayle Crookston and members of the Kitchen Phanatics 4-H Club

By

The Kitchen Phanatics is the 4-H Cooking Club. We meet the first and third Monday of each month in the Lockwood Building. Our members are in fourth grade to one year out of high school.
We learn to make a variety of different foods, although the favorites are always pizza and tacos.
Every year we sponsor 4-H Chopped, where everyone has to make something with one common ingredient. This year the ingredient was apples, and we had a tie for first place. In February, we will host another contest that will be open to everyone, not just 4-H members.
We will be operating the food booth at the 4-H Fair, with all proceeds going to the Program Advisory Council for program support for all of the 4-H clubs.
We have one fundraiser a year, our cookies sale, which takes place during the three days of the fair. Bags are $1 each and will be available at the food booth, so stop by and say hi and support our 4-H clubs!
