Cape May County deserves real solutions on opiate addiction and prevention, bridges and roads in need of expensive maintenance, and a lack of full-time year-round employment. My campaign for County Freeholder is focused on promoting these solutions to the board.
State Senator Van Drew sponsored a bill that would have schools in New Jersey employ a Student Assistance Coordinator. Cape May County consistently ranks 19/21 in child wellness and safety. When we have the highest rate of at-risk and unemployed youth and the highest incidence of abuse and childhood cancer, the right thing to do is for the county to employ Student Assistance Coordinators in our high schools and most at risk middle schools. The best way to treat addiction is through prevention.
