Cape May County Freeholder Gerald Thornton and the Department of Aging announced that Income tax return forms will be prepared free for persons of any age with incomes under $50,000 from Feb. 1 to April 15, through the Volunteer Income Tax Program (V.I.T.A.).
Volunteers will be completing income tax forms by appointment only every Tuesday and Thursday between 9 a.m. and noon at the Social Services Building located at 4005 Route 9 South in Rio Grande. For an appointment call 886-3400.
Forms will also be completed by appointment only at the following locations: Lower Cape Senior Center, 2612 Bayshore Road, Villas, Mondays, 1 to 3 p.m., 886-5161.
North Wildwood Senior Center, 10th and Central avenues, Wednesdays 9 a.m. to noon, 522-7611.
Upper Township Senior Center, 1369 Old Stagecoach Road, Palermo, Thursdays, 1–3 p.m., 390-5992.
Cape May County Library, 30 Mechanic St., Court House, Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Ocean City Howard Stainton Senior Center, 3304 Bay Ave., Mondays and Fridays, 1 to 3 p.m., 399-0055
Victorian Commons, 610 Townbank Road, North Cape May, Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers cannot complete your income taxes if you have sold your home, or have stocks or bonds. Additionally, Schedule C (Profit or Loss), D (Capital Gains or Losses), E. (Rents) or forms 2106, 3903, 8606, and 8615 will not be completed.
