COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti and the League of Women Voters of Cape May County will jointly present “Storming for the Vote: Hurricane Sandy and The Election,” a powerful 20 minute documentary by the League of Women Voters of New Jersey about Hurricane Sandy’s impact on the 2012 Presidential Election in New Jersey.
“This film illustrates how New Jersey voters, election officials, the League and a myriad volunteers came together to make possible the Nov. 6, 2012 General Election. It is a testament to the great spirit of the New Jersey voter to get out to exercise our precious right to vote, even in the most extreme circumstances.” Fulginiti said.
The public is invited to attend this free program which will take place on the first anniversary of Hurricane Sandy touching down in Cape May County on Oct. 29, 2013 at 12:10 p.m.in the Story Time Room at the Main Branch of the Cape May County Library, Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House. Attendees are encouraged to bring a “brown bag lunch” to enjoy during the program. Beverages and desserts will be provided. The program will conclude at 12:45 p.m. to allow time for attendees to get back to work or home.
