CAPE MAY – The Greater Cape May Historical Society (GCMHS) will be holding their April meeting at the Tom Carroll Gallery in the Carriage House located on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington Street, Cape May NJ. This is a reschedule of the February meeting that was cancelled due to weather. The meeting will include speakers from the Center for Community of the Arts (CCA) who will be reviewing their current exhibit celebrating 20 years of service to the Cape May community. The GCMHS also celebrated an important milestone in 2014. They celebrated their 40th anniversary of their founding dedicated to their mission to collect, preserve, document, interpret and share the history of the greater Cape May area. The Society is the Steward of The Colonial House Museum, located in the first period Memucan Hughes house, c. 1730. The meeting and overview of the CCA history be held April 9 and begin at 10:00 a.m. This exhibit is an important part of Cape May History you will not want to miss. The exhibit is closing soon.
