CAPE MAY – The Nature Center of Cape May announces its 2012 Summer Program Schedule. Something for every child, Pre-K through 16.
“Discovery Kids” (Pre-K through 3rd grade) explore wetlands, experience ocean adventures, plant a garden, and learn about solar power. Discovery Kids learn all about marine mammals, fishes, sharks and other aquatic creatures.
“Harborside Explorers” (4th through 9th graders) study the marine arts and sciences, and take a natural habitat treasure hunt. Explorers also learn what its like to be a Cape Isle Castaway and what it takes to live in, around and above our ocean environment.
We also offer two special programs, “Explore the Shore” for children 6 through 12, and the “Aqua Trails Kayak Camp” for ages 12 to 16.
Sanctuary Director Gretchen Whitman wants all parents to know that, “We look forward to sharing the wonder of nature with your child/children this summer. New Jersey Audubon has a long history of connecting children of all ages with nature by exploring, discovering and enjoying our harbor, fields, oceans and beaches…….”
