On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the City of North Wildwood will be hosting the third annual National Night Out at the Eighth Ave. field, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
National Night Out is an opportunity for us to build unity in our neighborhood and strengthen the partnership between the members of our community and the police, in an effort to make our neighborhood close and safe.
Displays from all city departments—Police, Fire, Public Works, Beach Patrol, and Recreation—will show you how they contribute to the quality of life in North Wildwood.
This year’s events include a barbeque, games and activities for the children, and a movie after dark. (Bring a chair or blanket to sit on.)
And it’s all free!
When the gates open at 5:30 p.m., make your first stop the North Wildwood Police Department table and pick up your information packet and free gifts.
All around the block, the equipment the city uses to keep our neighborhood clean and well-maintained will be available for you to check out.
They’ll be music and free food—hot dogs and hamburgers, ice cream, and snacks.
The North Wildwood Recreation Department will be organizing fun races you can enter, and you can try to dunk a good-natured police officer in the Dunk Tank.
There will be a giveaway drawing at approximately 8:15 p.m. at the Bandstand, and a family movie at dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.).
And, in the spirit of good neighbors, bring a canned food item to be donated to local charities.
