Haiti Rescue Effort a Success

By Herald Staff

“Cape May County residents heeded the call to help Haiti after the devastation of the Jan. 12 earthquake. Led by the Committee of Social Justice, Our Lady of the Angels Church, residents donated selected supplies, food and funds for Haitians. A container was destined for Cap Haitien last week. Cap Haitien is located in north Haiti, and is the nearest port to Bord DeMer, the location of Cape May County Village,” according to Ann Herron, of the Social Justice committee. The earthquake did not affect Cape May County Village.
