Greetings from the Director of Rutgers Cooperative Extension

By

Welcome to the 2017 Cape May County 4-H Fair!
New Jersey residents are able to enjoy an annual county fair, thanks to New Jersey 4-H, a program of Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE).
On behalf of the faculty and staff of RCE, I offer my warmest congratulations to more than 39,000 4-H youth who have spent the last year in science, engineering, and technology project areas as diverse as earth sciences and environmental education, animal and plant sciences, consumer and family science, and more. Thousands of other youths have participated in programs in the expressive arts, personal development, nutrition and healthy living, and more.
The annual county fairs provide a wonderful opportunity to showcase these 4-H programs that demonstrate the leadership, social responsibility and life skills that 4-Hers learned throughout the past year.
I applaud the thousands of 4-H adult and youth volunteers for their dedication and continued support. Their invaluable contributions of time, knowledge and caring are vital to the success of all 4-H programs!
The fair helps to make your county a unique part of our Garden State. You will experience a wide range of hands-on activities, demonstrations, educational opportunities and good old fashioned “family fun!”
I hope you will plan to make the county fair an annual destination for you and your family! Please contact us at (848) 932-5000 and visit us online at nj4h.rutgers.edu.
Best wishes,
Larry S. Katz, Ph.D.
