Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group Meeting

COURT HOUSE – Rutgers Cooperative Extension’s Family and Community Health Sciences Department will host a program for the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group for a presentation from a local law enforcement official to discuss the current role of police in our schools. The program will offer the reasons for school resource officers and the safety threats that currently face students and staff.
The event will be held on Wed., Nov. 16, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Building located at 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House. (Turn at the light at ACCC, it is the first building on the right). The building is handicap accessible. Childcare will be provided for the grandchildren. A light supper for the grandparents and grandchildren will be offered at 5:30 p.m., and the program will follow at 6:00 p.m.
There is no charge for this program, but advanced registration is required. Please call Marian at (609) 465-5115, Ext. “609” by Nov. 11, 2011 to register, or for more information. New families are always welcome and encouraged to join us or call with any questions.
