COURT HOUSE – Rutgers Cooperative Extension’s Family and Community Health Sciences Department will host a program entitled “The Challenges of Discipline” Part 2 for the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group. The event, coordinated by Marilou Rochford, will be held May 20, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Building located at 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House. (Turn at the light at ACCC, it is the first building on the right). The building is handicap accessible.
Things have changed when it comes to raising kids, and the arena of discipline is often the most challenging. It just doesn’t seem to work the way it did when we were kids or even when we were parenting our own children. This program will continue the discussion from the April meeting about this issue with examination of discipline and parenting of young children in today’s family.
Childcare will be provided for the grandchildren. A light supper for the grandparents and grandchildren will be offered at 5:30PM, and the program will follow at 6:00 p.m. There is no charge for this program, but advanced registration is required. Please call Marian at (609) 465-5115, ext. “609” by May 15, 2015 to register, or for more information.
