SEA ISLE CITY – Each spring, the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization hosts “Girls Weekend,” an event that features a wide variety of discounts and special offers at businesses throughout town. This year’s Girls Weekend took place on April 4, 5 & 6, when ladies from across the region gathered in Sea Isle City to enjoy retail bargains, food and drink specials, free wine tastings, discounts on lodging, salon treatments and exercise workouts. Ladies also enjoyed dancing, socializing and spending time with girlfriends, sisters and other loved ones.
In addition to discounts and special deals, many of Sea Isle’s merchants also offered shoppers complimentary refreshments and give-aways.
According to event co-organizer Colleen Falcone, Girls Weekend offered ladies a chance to rejuvenate – and spend time with girlfriends, sisters and other loved ones.
“The word is definitely out about Sea Isle’s Girls Weekend,” said Falcone, owner of Groovy Girlz on Landis Avenue. “All over the island we saw groups of ladies laughing, giggling, having fun and enjoying big specials and sales. They ordered food in, and they ate out. During the day, shops were bustling, and at night the dance floors were packed. It was a great event, and there was a ton of energy in town. Girls rock!”
