CAPE MAY – The Young Entrepreneurs of Cape May and the City of Cape May are proud to present “Movies in the Park” Oct. 9 and Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in Rotary Park, located at 400 Lafayette Street in Cape May behind the Washington Street Mall.
Oct. 9, the 1980’s family classic E.T. will be shown and Oct. 28, Disney’s Hocus Pocus will be featured. Both movies will start at 7 p.m. and are rated PG. Refreshments will be available for purchase including popcorn, soft pretzels, hot chocolate and coffee. Limited seating will be available. However, moviegoers are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets to enjoy the movie. In the case of inclement weather, the Oct. 9 movie will be shown in Cape May Convention Hall which is located at 714 Beach Avenue.
The Movies in the Park program is an extension of the City’s free family entertainment that was held each week this summer for residents and visitors to Cape May. “The City’s partnership with The Young Entrepreneurs represents an exciting opportunity to create new businesses, expand our community’s social events, and provide greater input in planning Cape May’s future.” stated Mayor Edward J. Mahaney, Jr. “We are very excited to continue to expand the events and activities held in Rotary Park for the enjoyment of our residents and visitors”.
The Young Entrepreneurs of Cape May is a group of representatives from local business and civic groups who are active in maintaining our community’s unique array of commercial enterprises and in helping to shape the future of Cape May.
