WILDWOOD – The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe was commemorated in this city by parishioners of St. Ann Church, Dec. 12.
The religious holiday marks the one in which Mary, the mother of Jesus, visited St. Juan in Mexico in 1531. The celebration is of particular importance to Mexican people, as Our Lady of Guadalupe is that nation’s patron saint.
According to a release, the local celebration included a procession through the streets of Wildwood and later, a festive occasion by church members.
