Stone Harbor/Avalon Kindergarten Round-Up

STONE HARBOR — The Kindergarten registration packet for the 2017/18 school year for Stone Harbor/Avalon School District will be ready soon. Please call Mrs. Tracy Lisi, the school secretary at Stone Harbor Elementary, at 368-4413 to pick up your registration packet, or find the packet on our school website, www.shesnj.org. You may also request the packet be mailed to you at your residence. You can mail the completed packet back to Mrs. Lisi at 275 93rd Street Stone Harbor, NJ 08247, you may also drop the completed forms off at the Stone Harbor School to Mrs. Lisi in the main office, or bring it with you during the parent visit.
• On Mon., April 10 from 2:00-2:45 the parents are invited to meet in the Kindergarten classroom with Miss Accardi to discuss the goals and objectives of the Kindergarten program. You will have an opportunity to meet with Miss Accardi informally at this time. Parents are encouraged NOT to bring their child to this meeting.
• A Kindergarten visitation period for both parent and child will be scheduled for Mon., May 1 from 9:15 – 10:00 in Miss Accardi’s classroom.
Requirements for registration are as follows:
1. Proof of birth or baptismal certificate. Child must be 5 years of age by Oct. 1, 2017.
2. Proof of immunizations. Bring the most current records with you.
3. A copy of your child’s most recent physical, signed by either the Pediatrician or Advanced Practice Nurse.
4. Proof of residency (for Avalon and Stone Harbor students). A valid driver’s license, showing home address, along with either a current utility or tax bill.
**Tuition students are welcome.
