Family Fun Day to benefit Suicide Prevention

By On Deck Staff

Swainton Station will host a Family Fun Day, Aug. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the store located at 1451 Route 9 North.
Funds generated from the event will benefit Suicide Prevention at Middle Township High School and Gettysburg College. The festivities will include games, music, raffles, face painting, snacks, refreshments, and more.
There will also be a cocktail party fundraiser, Aug. 14 featuring wine, beer, hors d’oeuvres, raffles, and a silent auction.
Tickets are $40 at the door. The event begins at 7 p.m. at FUZE restaurant in Avalon on 79th and 3rd Ave.
Both events are held in memory of Richelle Renza, who passed in April of 2001. She was a 1991 graduate of Middle Township High School and a successful graduate of Gettysburg College.
Swainton Station is located in the pink building at the intersection of Route 9 and Goshen-Swainton Road, mile marker 16.
