Cape May to Host 86th Annual Baby Parade Aug. 3

CAPE MAY – Don’t miss the most adorable parade in the Nation’s Oldest Seashore Resort. The 86th Annual Cape May Baby Parade scheduled for Aug. 3 steps off at 11 a.m. from Congress Street and Beach Avenue. Grand Marshal, Queen Maysea Sydney Duran will lead the procession down Beach Avenue from Congress Street to Howard Street where the parade ends. 
Participants are invited into Cape May Convention Hall immediately following the parade for the awards ceremony conducted by Grand Marshal, Cape May’s Queen Maysea 2018 Sydney Duran, Mayor Clarence F. Lear III, and Miss Cape May County Michelle Wanner.  Trophies will be awarded in five separate categories: Pretty Baby, Decorated Baby Carriage, Children Walking in Fancy Dress, Children Walking in Comic Dress and Decorated on Wheels. There will also be awards for Best Float (motorized or pulled) and Best Overall Entry.
Registration is free to all participants 12 years of age or younger.  Registration and judging will be held at Congress Street and Beach Avenue beginning at 10 a.m. Pre-registration will be accepted until Aug. 2 at 4:30 p.m.
