Family and Community Health Sciences’ Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group Announces May Meeting

COURT HOUSE — The next meeting of Rutgers Cooperative Extension Family and Community Health Sciences’ Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group will be held on Wed., May 17, 2017. The free information session will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey (Turn at the light at ACCC, it is the first building on the right). The building is handicap accessible.
The program will focus on preparing for the summer season. Grandparents will receive information about activities and programs available for children and teens in Cape May County. Marilou Rochford, FCHS Educator, said, “ It is important to have a plan for summer that includes learning new things, finding new interests, and enjoying the outdoors.”
A light supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the program will follow at 6 p.m. Childcare will be provided for the grandchildren. There is no charge for this program, however, advanced registration is required. Please call Marian at (609) 465-5115, ext. 609 for more information or to register for the program.
