WILKES-BARRE, PA (04/01/2011)(readMedia) — Lindsey Sykes of Avalon, N.J., was one of 52 Wilkes University students inducted into the Delta Mu Delta Business Administration Honor Society at the annual induction ceremony dinner on March 16. The keynote speaker was Jay S. Sidhu, chairman and CEO of Customers Bank and Sidhu Advisors, LLC.
Sykes is a graduate student pursuing her master’s degree in business administration with concentrations in health care administration and international business. She is the daughter of Jack and Valerie Sykes.
Delta Mu Delta was founded in 1913 to recognize and encourage outstanding achievement by undergraduate and graduate students in business administration. Undergraduates eligible to be inducted into the honor society must be registered in a business administration program and be candidates for a baccalaureate degree. In order to be inducted, students must have completed at least half of the work required for the degree and be in good standing with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.25. Graduate students must be registered in a business administration program, having completed at least half of the work required for the degree, with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.6. Lifetime membership includes a membership certificate, the distinctive key insignia and lifetime contact through the Society’s newsletter, the Delta Mu Delta Vision.
