SWAINTON – Middle Township marathon runners took some time away from warm places on Nov. 24 to run in the 1-mile and 5K Turkey Trot held at Cape May County Park.
A steady, cold wind chilled watchers and well-wishers, but the runners did not seem to mind, and off they went.
The event was hosted by the South Jersey Triathlon Club. Proceeds from the run will benefit Family Promise to purchase holiday presents for children in need in Cape May County.
