By Herald Staff

In Lower Township, a machine glitch stalled final reporting, but after a county of about 1,000 absentees ballots, Republican County Chairman Michael Donohue conceded the election, on behalf of Republicans, to the Beck, Neville, Clark team.
In Cape May, Edward Mahaney’s challenger, Russell Chew had a two-vote plurality, 547 to 545. At 10:55 p.m. Mahaney told the Herald the only results received were totals from voting machines in Cape May’s five districts.

Mahaney said it was likely the results would not be available until Wednesday.
Middle Township’s Republican Mayor Daniel Lockwood was reelected to his seat by a margin of 115 votes.
