By Al Campbell

ERMA — Despite a steady rain, crowds of supporters of Historic COld Spring Village grabbed their umbrellas and went to Feasting on History at the hangar at Naval Air Station Wildwood on Tuesday, May 5.
The annual fund-raising event for the 19th Century restored farm village in Cold Spring was sponsored by Sturdy Savings Bank. All proceeds of the evening went to the Historic Cold Spring Village Endowment Fund.
Restaurants from throughout the county spread a luscious feast of their specialities from crab cakes and scallops to grouper, roast turkey and chicken as well as North Carolina barbecue and potato salad, pasta and a variety of salads.
Desserts enticed many from their diets.
The event is the chief fund raiser of the village.
