On Tuesday, November 26th, the Cape May area community gathered to work together and fight world hunger.
Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Erma served as the host site and partnered with other area church and community members. In total over 120 volunteers, ranging in ages from 2-72, packaged 19,224 meals in one hour. It was a high-energy event that really helped us celebrate Thanksgiving by remembering those around the world who are in need.
Tabernacle UMC brought in Stop Hunger Now for the second time to their church. “Stop Hunger Now is an international hunger relief agency that has been fulfilling its commitment to end hunger for more than 15 years. Since 1998, the organization has coordinated the distribution of food and other lifesaving aid to children and families in countries all over the world,” states the organization.
