Sgt. Dwight Landon Payne
(July 15, 1968 – March 15, 2009)
Sgt. Dwight Landon Payne, son of Ida M. (nee Smith) Payne and the late Henry Payne, departed this life suddenly on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital Somers Point.
Sgt. Payne was born July 15, 1968 in Morris Co., NJ and was a resident of Cape May Court House, for the past 14 years. Dwight was a New Jersey State Trooper for the past 14 years. He was a member of the Calvary Hill Assembly of God Glassboro, NJ.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Lynda K. (nee Lee) Payne, his mother Ida M. Payne, brother Major Demetrius H.(Dawn) Payne, sisters Deborah (Stanley) Harris and Thomasa Payne, sister and brother in laws Heather K. (Paul) Lee, Frank Kenneth Lee, Jr. and David K. Lee, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 12 noon at the Calvary Hill Assembly of God 535 Mullica Hill Rd. Glassboro, with Pastor Brent Galbreath officiating. Interment will be in he Cold Spring Cemetery Cape May. Relatives and friends will be received at the church Thursday from 9am-12 noon.
