Sea Isle’s McQuillen Becomes Newest Police Lieutenant

By Deborah McGuire

SEA ISLE CITY —In front of a packed audience, Sgt. Thomas McQuillen became this city’s newest police lieutenant. The March 15 swearing in ceremony was held in the city’s municipal courtroom.
“Tom McQuillen knows how to bring out people,” said Desiderio as he looked out over the room filled with the new lieutenant’s family, friends and fellow officers. “I’m glad he doesn’t live in Sea Isle, so he can’t run for election.”
Joined by his two daughters and parents and with his wife, Maria, holding the Bible, McQuillen took his new oath of office. Chief of Police Thomas D’Intino pinned McQuillen’s new lieutenant’s badge onto his chest.
“I’ll give it my all; I’ll do my best,” McQuillen said after the swearing in.
