COURT HOUSE – We asked Herald website users to answer an online survey regarding the proposed Walmart expansion and how they feel about it. Here are the results from that survey:
Users were asked “What do you think about the proposed Walmart expansion?” They could select one of the following options:
– I support it – More jobs
– I support it – More consumer choice
– I oppose it – More traffic congestion
– I oppose it – Bad for small business
– Other
There were a total of 249 responses. Out of those responses, 47 users chose “I support it – More jobs,” making up 19 percent of the total responses, 104 users chose “I support it – More consumer choice,” making up 42 percent of the total responses, 19 users chose “I oppose it – More traffic congestion,” making up 8 percent of the total responses, 70 users chose “I oppose it – Bad for small business,” making up 28 percent of the total responses, and 9 users chose “Other,” making up 4 percent of the total responses.
