Ross Denham, association president, welcomed the players and their families.
Pastor Keith Strunk delivered the invocation.
Alyssa Sullivan, Miss Teen New Jersey sang the national anthem and “God Bless America.”
Middle Township Baseball Commissioner Frank Dougherty administered the Little League Pledge.
Following the mayoral pitch, others who tossed honorary first pitches were Committeewoman Susan DeLanzo, representing sponsor Sturdy Savings Bank was Kevin Burns, and from Kindle Ford, Fran Adelizzi.
Entering the field of play for the season were 21 teams from Teeball to Seniors.
After the opening ceremonies, there were games throughout the Davies Sports Complex for the rest of the day.
